Toshiba announces new 3D LCD TV series REGZA GL1 capable of displaying 3D content without the need for 3D glasses. Toshiba will release two models of LCD TVs in late December 2010, namely 20GL1 type measuring 20-inches to 12 inches and has a type 12GL1.

Toshiba Series REGZA GL1 imaging system utilizes an integral and perpendicular lenticular sheets to display the picture a smooth, natural, and Toshiba's image processing technology to create a nine image parallax of the original content and to produce 3D images. 3D TV has LED-backlit LCD panel, with 20GL1 transmits the final 3D images with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while the type 12GL1 offers 466 x 350 pixels.

Toshiba 20GL1 is also equipped with the Cell Broadband Engine and 3D Glasses CELL-less REGZA Engine, and the multi-parallax conversion LSI developed recently that are designed for superior multimedia processing.
